Photoelectric Crystals

Piezoelectric crystals are a kind of non-centrosymmetric crystal. Under the action of mechanical force, they produce deformation, which causes the relative displacement of the charged particles, so that positive and negative bound charges appear on the surface of the crystal. They are electronic materials second only to monocrystalline silicon. They are used to manufacture electronic components for selection and frequency control. They are widely used in various fields of the electronic information industry, such as color TVs, air conditioners, computers, DVDs, wireless communications, etc. It can also be used to make crystal oscillators. Commonly used piezoelectric crystals are TiO₂, SiO₂, LiTaO₃, LiNbO₃, TeO₂, BaTiO₃, PMNT, PIMNT, etc.
